Wood work and some pictures

Hi all, and welcome to the New Australia - well you've heard of the New Soouth Africa - this is the New Australia with a marvellous New Carbon Tax system in place. The Labour Government promised that we would not get a Carbon Tax but like most politicians they are just another bunch of liars. Anyone surpised that a politician lied to a country?

Well some of my main interests are wood working and another is just starting off with early experimental photographs.

Salt and pepper pots from local and imported hardwoods.

An end grain chopping board made from Mirbau and Iron Bark.

A small jewelry box made on a bandsaw from various hardwoods.

A symbolic whale and calf breaching made from various types of hardwood laminated together.

Spiders web at night.

Trying to capture whisping smoke from a bbq.

I also try my hand at some home brewing and I am quite impressed with the result of my Banana Beer so if you are interested here is the recipe:

1.5 kgs Coopers Light Malt Extract
1.7 kgs Coopers Pilsner
700 gms Bananas sliced and roasted for 45 minutes at 180 deg C until browned see picture below
1/2 tsp concentrated Vanilla extract
Yeast - SAFLager W-34/70 (11.5 gms)

OG - 1044
FG - 1009
ABV% - 4.75

Many thanks,
Andy
